Job Free, Day 2

posted on Feb 25, 2009

Today was day two of job-free living. I have to say aside from the clouds it’s been pretty damn good. Last night I attended a scrumptious writing workshop! Yumilicious! There were two kitties there! It felt really good to focus some energy on fiction again. It felt good to be around writers. Really f-ing good. It’s been in the back of my mind to get craft-tastic with my writing and I’ve really failed in that department. When I say craft-tastic, what I mean is that I want to turn my writing into little books that are lovely to look at and to smell and to read. My passion is re-kindled! I will definitely be not only working on something decently written, but something gorgeous to hold in your hands. I’m gonna make a big promise here, but I need the pressure- I hereby promise the world a box set of Polly Danger books by the end of this year, beginning with “A Day at the Zoo”.

A pretty fantastic start to my job-free life! That was only day 1! Day 2 got off to kind of a slow start because my sister came to visit and I ended up reading her US Weekly from cover to cover. I did manage to work on my secret second shop (I’ll reveal that mystery soon), take more photos (damn those clouds!) cut some flowers, sell some goodies, play with Blythe, and experiment with my new XYRON! Did I mention that I scored a Xyron 510, including three different cartridges, for $7?! In perfect working condition, I might add. Thank you Valley Thrift, for the bountiful bounty which you bestow upon me every time I visit. Anyway, here’s a little tease-

Just something I’m working on at the moment. I might post it in my etsy shop tomorrow, maybe.
