San Fernando Chic- A La Francaise

posted on Oct 16, 2009

I often find magical bits of design here in my lovely little town, but usually they’re pretty ethnically specific. I LOVE my people, and seriously dig the niched and tiled Virgin Marys people put on the outsides of their houses, but it’s quite rare to find something that’s just plain adorable in the supermarket. But yesterday I did. I found the cutest thing ever. In my favorite Mexican supermarket. Not a pinata. Not a Ninja Turtle piggy bank. I bought the most deliciously fresh French bread, which I admittedly only purchased for the packaging. But it turned out to be completely scrumptious. Anyhow, the package is what we’re here for. Squeezed between 99ยข bags of Chili N Lime Fritos and pan dulce was a tall rack of these-

frenchbread

It made my day. I went home and had a delicious slice of French bread with cheese and an apple. NUM! And now I’ve got this adorable bag, which I have no idea what to do with. I can’t tell you how tempted I am to go back and buy more bread!!

You know, come to think of it I should be sharing all the fantastic chicness that lives in my lovely San Fernando. Hmmm . . . I feel a series coming on . . .
