It’s been a good run, but now it’s time to move on to greener pastures . . . literally.  Last March Eric and I decided that our hearts were in Oregon and planned a major move across state lines.  A year later we drove up to look at houses and after months of holding our breaths and crossing our fingers, escrow has closed on an adorable, hundred year old house in a small town outside of Portland!  We’re driving up on Monday to pick up the keys!!!!! I can hardly believe that it’s real, but I sure am excited ^=^.

While I’m sad to leave my L.A. family and friends behind, I’m actually very ready for a new lifestyle.  There’s just something about  the endless 70s era suburbs, strip malls, and smog that don’t agree with my idea of good living, you know?  Don’t get me wrong- I’m a California girl at heart and there are many places that I LooooooOoooOoove in L.A., but that’s what vacations are for!  **By the way, keep your peepers open for the “Reasons Not to Hate L.A. Guidebook” that Eric and I are putting together for visitors and natives alike! **

I’m sure you’re burning with curiosity, but I’m not posting pictures of the house until we’ve had a chance to cute it up a bit.  But just to whet your appetite here’s a look at our new neighborhood (“downtown” is about three blocks long!)-

Squeee!  The actual move isn’t until mid July, but we get to drive up on Monday to pick up the keys and paint and shop!  If you’re lucky I might have a few more sneaky pics this week . . .
