Well, ladies and gents, after much back and forth with the internet people we finally have internet up and running in the new place! I have to say that the past month has been such a whirlwind of travel that I forgot what it was like to have reliable internet! And oddly enough, I kinda didn’t miss it that much this week. We’ve been scrubbing the heck out of the new house, learning the best routes to yummy fooderies, pulling weeds, and strolling the farmer’s market, which happens to be A-DOR-A-BLE. Look at the lovely goodies I brought home this week (eeeh- I said HOME!!!)
We picked up some delicious cherries, a bunch of sweet peas, some Ranier cherries, and golden raspberries- I had no idea there was such a thing! It was a lovely and delicious way to spend an hour. I tell you folks, life is good out here in the country. Forget the romantic bustle of San Francisco. Forget the hip hype of Los Angeles, and forget the hurry scurry of Tokyo- THIS little town is where my heart is. Eric and I finally found our place in life.
So now what? Now I go back to Los Angeles (ugh, do I have to?) and work like crazy to pay for this insane move, plus find time to sort through years of junk which is being stored in no less than four different locations. Then I get to pack it up into boxes and after many sad, really sad goodbyes, we move.
Did I mention that our neighbors are incredible, we can see the park from our window, we can walk to the library, pubs, the post office, the $5 movie theater, and church?! I asked my mom if she could just mail us the pups, but she said no.
